How JANEX footwear is made
From the material to the finished pair.
Selecting materials
We select materials to suit the construction and purpose of each model.
Sewing
We prepare and sew the upper parts of the footwear.
Shaping
We shape the footwear and join the upper to the remaining components.
Finishing
We finish the details and prepare each pair for packing.

Materials
Natural leather
Genuine leather is part of many of our slippers and clogs. Smooth and suede finishes give each model its own character, from simple, classic designs to styles with decorative details and perforations. Each product page describes the materials used in the upper, insole and sole.
Felt and fabrics
Felt and textiles bring a variety of textures, colours and patterns to our collection. They feature in both plain home footwear and slipper boots with distinctive patterns. This variety lets you choose a pair that suits your everyday style.
Wool
Wool features in selected slippers and slipper boots. In some models it forms the upper and insole; in others it is used inside the footwear. Each product page explains where it is used, helping you find a style for colder days.
Wood
Wood gives our clogs their distinctive form. The foot rests on a wooden surface, complemented by a thin layer of PVC underneath. Leather uppers in different colours and finishes let us create many versions of this classic style.
