Women's house slides: open toes and strap placement

When comparing house slides, look at the open front, footbed shape and arrangement of the straps. A top view shows where the straps cross the toes and instep, while a side photograph shows the sole profile. This helps you narrow down a style, but does not establish the correct size. Before adding a pair to the basket, check its details, measurement chart and the photographs for the colour version you want.

Adjustability must be confirmed for the model

Not every strap is adjustable, and the appearance of a buckle or seam is not enough to assume that feature. Check whether the product description states it explicitly. If fit across the instep matters to you and the information is unclear, ask about the particular model. Insole length does not describe width or the space under a strap. An open front also does not mean every foot will fit the selected style.

The upper, footbed and outsole have separate details

When comparing materials, read the fields for each component of the footwear. A colour name does not specify the upper's composition, and a photograph of the footbed does not confirm its material. Do not transfer one pair's features to another with a similar shape. Once you have a shortlist, compare the same points: upper material, footbed, sole, adjustment and measurements. This gives you more useful information than the category name alone.

When should you look at slippers or wooden clogs?

If browsing slides makes you want to compare more coverage at the front, look at women's slippers. More enclosed shapes are grouped as boot slippers, while wooden clogs have their own category for comparing construction. You do not have to decide on a material immediately: start with the shape you prefer, then check composition on the product page. To return to a particular slide, use its model and colour rather than relying on similar-looking photographs.

Sizing: compare measurements, not just the number

Start by measuring both feet. Stand on a sheet of paper, mark the furthest points at the toes and heel, then measure the distance between them. Use the longer measurement for comparison. Wear socks when measuring if that is how you plan to wear your new pair. Do not automatically copy the size from another type of shoe: the number alone does not describe the length or shape of the inside.

Open the selected product's size chart and check the insole length in centimetres. Foot length and insole length are different measurements, so do not treat them as interchangeable. If your measurement falls between the listed values, or you have a question about width, contact us with the model name, colour and your measurement. This lets us discuss the particular pair rather than give a general size recommendation.

Care depends on the material

Before cleaning your footwear for the first time, check the information supplied with it and the description of your particular model. Do not assume that every pair of slippers is machine washable: the upper, insole and sole may need different care. If instructions are missing, ask us before using a cleaning product or soaking the whole pair. Include the model name and colour in your message, as the word 'slippers' alone does not identify the material.

Questions before you order

Should I choose the same size as my outdoor shoes?

Do not rely only on the size you wear in other shoes. Compare your foot measurement with the selected model's chart and check its insole length. If unsure, send us both measurements and the product name rather than choosing a larger size just in case.

Do all house slides have adjustable straps?

Do not assume the whole category has adjustable straps. Check the selected model's description and photographs. If adjustment is not confirmed, ask about the pair before ordering, especially when fit across the instep is important.

Are the upper and insole made from the same material?

Not necessarily. Check the upper, lining, insole and outsole separately in the selected model's details. Photographs show the appearance, but do not by themselves confirm the material composition or type of lining.

When will my pair be dispatched?

Ready-stock items are dispatched within a day; a model or size that needs to be sewn is dispatched within 3 days. This is the dispatch time, not the carrier's delivery time. If you need a particular date, ask about the selected pair before ordering.
