Women’s slippers

Compare different styles of JANEX women’s slippers. Check how enclosed each design is, the upper shape and the materials listed on its product page. If you want a lined style, read the lining and insole details separately, as finishes vary between models. Choose your size using the insole measurements in that product’s chart and view the photos for colours and other variations.

Which women's slippers should you choose for home?

Start with the shape you would like to wear every day. Compare toe coverage, the height of the sides and the heel finish. Look through several product photographs: the view from above shows the front, while the side view helps you judge coverage. Do not choose a size from appearance alone. Two similar-looking pairs of house slippers can have different insole measurements and differently shaped uppers.

Materials: check the upper, lining and insole separately

The outer material does not describe the entire shoe. If you are looking for lined slippers, read the lining and insole information rather than relying on the model name. Lanosa illustrates why this matters: the black, blue and beige versions do not contain wool inside. Do not transfer one model's details to the rest of the range. Check the description and attributes of the pair you want, and ask us about anything unclear before ordering.

Feltino colours and the two Velora versions

When choosing a colour, compare the name with photographs of both the outside and inside. Brown Feltino has a cappuccino shade. The two-tone Feltino version is chocolate brown on the outside with a green interior. Brown and beige Velora, by contrast, are two separate colour versions. Making a note of the model and colour helps you identify the correct listing, particularly when several product pages are open.

Slippers, boot slippers or house slides?

If you would prefer more coverage after browsing slippers, compare them with women's boot slippers. If you favour open toes and straps across the instep, look at women's house slides. Wooden clogs have their own category, making their construction easier to compare. Switching categories is not a reason to guess a different size: use the individual product's chart each time. Links to the other styles are provided below the questions.

Sizing: compare measurements, not just the number

Start by measuring both feet. Stand on a sheet of paper, mark the furthest points at the toes and heel, then measure the distance between them. Use the longer measurement for comparison. Wear socks when measuring if that is how you plan to wear your new pair. Do not automatically copy the size from another type of shoe: the number alone does not describe the length or shape of the inside.

Open the selected product's size chart and check the insole length in centimetres. Foot length and insole length are different measurements, so do not treat them as interchangeable. If your measurement falls between the listed values, or you have a question about width, contact us with the model name, colour and your measurement. This lets us discuss the particular pair rather than give a general size recommendation.

Care depends on the material

Before cleaning your footwear for the first time, check the information supplied with it and the description of your particular model. Do not assume that every pair of slippers is machine washable: the upper, insole and sole may need different care. If instructions are missing, ask us before using a cleaning product or soaking the whole pair. Include the model name and colour in your message, as the word 'slippers' alone does not identify the material.

Questions before you order

Should I choose the same size as my outdoor shoes?

Do not rely only on the size you wear in other shoes. Compare your foot measurement with the selected model's chart and check its insole length. If unsure, send us both measurements and the product name rather than choosing a larger size just in case.

Are the upper and insole made from the same material?

Not necessarily. Check the upper, lining, insole and outsole separately in the selected model's details. Photographs show the appearance, but do not by themselves confirm the material composition or type of lining.

When will my pair be dispatched?

Ready-stock items are dispatched within a day; a model or size that needs to be sewn is dispatched within 3 days. This is the dispatch time, not the carrier's delivery time. If you need a particular date, ask about the selected pair before ordering.

What should I include when asking about a pair?

Include the model name, colour, size you are considering and your foot length. For questions about fit, mention whether you plan to wear socks. A product photograph or link also helps us distinguish similar versions.

Do Lanosa slippers have wool inside?

No. The confirmed black, blue and beige Lanosa versions do not have wool inside. For other models, check their own lining and insole details; the features of one pair do not apply to the whole category.
