Women’s wooden clogs

JANEX women’s wooden clogs come in different upper styles, colours and finishes. The foot rests on wood, with a thin PVC layer underneath for grip. Check each model’s product page for the upper material and other features. Before ordering, compare the insole measurements in its size chart. Use the photos to see the details that distinguish the different versions.

Women's wooden clogs: three parts to compare

Start by distinguishing the upper, the surface beneath your foot and the outermost layer of the sole. They are different parts and can use different materials. When comparing models, also look at the front shape, the sides and the height visible in a side photograph. Similar colours do not tell you how a pair is constructed. Read the chosen model's description and size chart before moving on to purchase.

Wood under the foot, PVC underneath

For brown Camosia and white Claria, the confirmed construction is a wooden surface supporting the foot with a thin PVC layer underneath for grip. A wooden footbed and a PVC outsole are therefore not contradictory descriptions: they refer to different layers. Check the upper material separately, as it cannot be inferred from the footbed material or from the category name.

Blanca and choosing a colour version

Blanca is a white wooden-clog model. When comparing light-coloured footwear, look beyond the colour and consider the line of the upper and the shape at the front. For each model, examine front and side photographs to compare the upper finish. Colour does not identify its material. Include both the model and colour when contacting the shop, particularly when you are comparing several white or brown pairs in this category.

Assessing the shape and fit information

Look at the toe area, opening and the line of the upper across the instep. Photographs help compare construction, but they do not replace measurements. Do not assume the material will stretch or mould to your foot unless the product information confirms that behaviour. If you have questions about width or instep height, ask us before ordering and identify the model. There is no single fit recommendation for every wooden clog or one size suitable for everyone.

Sizing: compare measurements, not just the number

Start by measuring both feet. Stand on a sheet of paper, mark the furthest points at the toes and heel, then measure the distance between them. Use the longer measurement for comparison. Wear socks when measuring if that is how you plan to wear your new pair. Do not automatically copy the size from another type of shoe: the number alone does not describe the length or shape of the inside.

Open the selected product's size chart and check the insole length in centimetres. Foot length and insole length are different measurements, so do not treat them as interchangeable. If your measurement falls between the listed values, or you have a question about width, contact us with the model name, colour and your measurement. This lets us discuss the particular pair rather than give a general size recommendation.

Care depends on the material

Before cleaning your footwear for the first time, check the information supplied with it and the description of your particular model. Do not assume that every pair of slippers is machine washable: the upper, insole and sole may need different care. If instructions are missing, ask us before using a cleaning product or soaking the whole pair. Include the model name and colour in your message, as the word 'slippers' alone does not identify the material.

Questions before you order

Should I choose the same size as my outdoor shoes?

Do not rely only on the size you wear in other shoes. Compare your foot measurement with the selected model's chart and check its insole length. If unsure, send us both measurements and the product name rather than choosing a larger size just in case.

Do Camosia and Claria have a wooden sole or PVC?

Brown Camosia and white Claria have wood beneath the foot and a thin PVC layer underneath for grip. Read the footbed and outsole information separately, as the descriptions refer to different parts of the construction.

Is Blanca the correct name for the white model?

Yes, the correct name is Blanca. When asking about this pair, include the name Blanca, the white colour and your selected size. This distinguishes it from other white wooden clogs in the catalogue.

When will my pair be dispatched?

Ready-stock items are dispatched within a day; a model or size that needs to be sewn is dispatched within 3 days. This is the dispatch time, not the carrier's delivery time. If you need a particular date, ask about the selected pair before ordering.
